As of January 2nd, 2009, New Milford Community Ambulance Corporation contracted with VinTech Management Services, LLC. to provide two Emergency Medical Technicians Monday through Friday from 0600 hours - 1800 hours in New Milford. New Milford Community Ambulance Corporation continues to be a volunteer ambulance service and volunteers serve as first responders and respond to second calls for service during the these hours. Volunteers also still remain responsible for covering nightime and weekend shifts.

New Milford Coummunity Ambulance Corporation is committed to providing the quality Emergency Medical Service our community deserves and needs. By hiring VinTech we are achieving this. For over 80 years our organization remained 100% volunteer but as the economy and society changed the need for our services rose while our volunteers continued to work during the day or could not be spared from their careers to respond to calls.

To help fund this service New Milford Community Ambulance Corporation has begun to bill its patients. A uniform process has been established and EMT's will now ask for your insurance information and require you to sign transport documents. The insurance forms will be then be submitted through our billing company, Holdsworth/Pelton, to your insurance company. For those patients who do not have insurance we still need your information because we do not refuse you transport. You will still be sent a bill but there is a process setup to review and relieve financial hardships on a case by case basis.

All too often we encounter patients who are more fearful of a bill than the reason they dialed 911. We do not want this to be the case, your care is our priority.
